I’m Tatum, the founder of Underdose—a modern fentanyl test that makes preventing overdoses an easier part of everyday life. If you’re getting this email, it means you’ve joined our waitlist. Woohoo! 🎉 I couldn’t be more thrilled to share what we’ve been building with you.

My journey with Underdose started back in 2019 when I lost three classmates to fentanyl within my first three weeks of college. Fentanyl overdoses have now become the leading cause of death for young Americans, largely because it’s unknowingly mixed with other drugs. Right now, the only way to prevent these accidental overdoses is by using traditional test strips—but let’s be real, they can be unreliable, inconvenient, and just plain awkward to use. (I mean, who really wants to whip out a science experiment in the middle of the club?)

At Underdose, we’re on a mission to change that. We’re building a compact, discreet, all-in-one test designed for real life—not labs. While we’re not quite ready to show off our final design, I think we’re working on something special and I hope you’ll stick around as we bring this idea to life.
